You may have run this but you should run the reset qty allocated function in IM Processing making sure to run it for all items and check the box to reset trx. This will zero out the qty allocated field in the item/location table and I believe the active orders field as well and delete all A type records from the Inventory transaction audit trail report. It will then repopulate the trx table with open orders in OE and then repopulate the item/location table.
Ok.. I will try that. We have another problem too. We are trying to delete an item that was a part of a kit. However, the last time this kit was sold was in 2001. When we try to delete it we get an error. Looking back we see there is a quote that listed this in history. We can't delete it.
We also get the error 'Item Is Active Captured Component. Item Cannot Be Deleted'.
The kit components are in these files just like the components of a BOM are when you have a POP order or a SFC order. Since you have an option to print kit components on the pick ticket, they have to go somewhere.

I think your closed orders may still be considered active as they are in your open order files. You may have to purge them before you can delete the items. I hate purging why not change the status of the items ?
Closed orders, status L, still trigger the "active orders" counter in the inventory location file. You need to purge these orders through the closed order report to remove from the inventory location so you can delete these items.
As for the imordbld, which stores the captured kit and pp components, macola did not make a purge utility for this file. You have to use an external tool to delete the necessary records yourself.
