Hope somebody can help.
I am nearing the end of decommisioning an Exchange 5.5/Exchange 2000 Organization.
There are 16 Sites in the organization. Some sites have just 1 or 2 Exchange 5.5 servers and some sites have a mixture of Exchange 5.5 and Exchange 2000 servers.

Server 1 is the only Exchange 5.5 server in site 1. After removing all mailboxes/public folders etc, I used the Exchange 5.5 CD to "Remove All" which uninstalled all the Exchange stuff off the server.
Problem is, Site 1 and Server 1 are still listed in the Exchange 5,5 Administrator tool. As there are no other servers in Site 1 I am unable to connect to that site to remove Server 1.

I did some googling and could only find info on removing 5.5 servers from Exchange 2000 Admin groups.

Any help on properly removing Server 1 and Site 1 would be highly appreciated.

Thanks.

You should be able to 'delete' the site in the 5.5 Admin program by deleting the site connectors to it.

Thanks zbnet, that is pretty much the information I needed. The server/sites are now gone....forever!! :)
