We have been struggling with an issue over the last couple of days where one of our users is listed twice in the Groupwise 8 System Address Book. It has been somewhat difficult to find any information on how to remove duplicate entries in the System Address Book as opposed to a personal address book.

As of now the only information I've found hints around at rebuilding databases. That may very well be the only solution, but it sure seems that it should be somewhat simple to remove a single duplicate entry.

Does anyone have any information on how we could go about doing this?

First, do a top down rebuild of the mail system (you will need to bring down the agents and no one but you should be running ConsoleOne .. aka, you need exclusive access to the DB files).

Pretty quick and simple to do and it will rebuild the system address book. If this does not fix your problem, then there are bigger issues with your domain DB file.
