Removing Contact infromation from the Search in SharePoint

I deleted an user from the ldap and redid the search crawl in SharePoint 2003, But the user still show up in the search.

My question is how can the person's contact information and personal site be removed from the search, when he is deleted from the ldap/active directory.

Hello,

When you have deleted a user from A.D it does not delete the information from SharePoint's Profile Database. It should not list the account once you have performed a full import again. You might also have to to make a full update of the indexes you have (it is most likely so that it does not update the indexes when you delete a user account).

I have had similar problems and I've solved those things by doing a full update of the indexes.
