I would like to know if there is a site or a manual that discusses or shows the methods and techniques to remove the many types of computer cases/covers in order to do service work on the internal parts. Some are obvious of course but some are tricky. As a technician it is awkward sometimes if your first struggle is to get the case off.

No published info except sometimes in the handbook that comes with the computer.
This is the first test that computer technicians have to pass on every computer they work on. Ed Fair

Any advice I give is my best judgement based on my interpretation of the facts you supply.

Help increase my knowledge by providing some feedback, good or bad, on any advice I have given.

One manual for all cases?? dought it!
Just down to you to fathum out each individual case as it comes.
But i do know what you mean! some can be a little difficult to work out, just follow the simple rules of study first before action, and don't force anything because it's only after you've broken something that you realize how it comes apart!! unfortunately! Martin

;-) A very large hammer and cold chisel works wonders!
