hi

i've got a table that uses mail merge to populate it. however there is a carriage return that shows up between rows in the table and i can't get rid of it. any suggestions?

Hi drelefun,

What happens if you use the same mergefield outside the table? If you get a carriage return there, it's most likely because there's a carriage return in the source field.

yep there's a carriage return in the source but i can't get rid of it. its the same one as when you open a new document

Hi drelefun,

In that case, you'll need to remove the <CR> in the either:
. source data, before ; or
. merged output, after,
running the mailmerge.

If you can't to the former, a macro is probably the best way to do the latter.

Cheers
