I have run into a catch 22 situation.

Call Park is configured but no one in the company is currently using the feature. That is likely to change shortly so I have been looking at how it is programmed.

My load 50 output on the details of the feature is

CPTM 60
RECA NO
SPDN 5 71
MURT 21

the call park numbers are 71/72/73/74/75. Before putting call park to use I would like to go to four digits.

My first attempt to modify was to go into ld 50 and go with SPDN 5 7100. I received the error:

SCH2387
System park DN cannot be deleted if Call Park option is CPA.
Change Call Park option to CPD in LD 15 and try again or new range must
completely cover system park DNs.
Severity: Info

I then went into Ld 15 and FTR. At the Options prompt I entered CPD and got the following:

> err sch2386

SCH2386
There are system park DNs.

Severity: Info

So in one case it says I can't change the PARK DNs until I select option CPD in LD 15. But on the other hand I can't set CPD because I have Park DNs.

I have tried 0 and X responses at the SPDN prompt in Ld 50 to no avail.

What is the solution to this?

I would just do REQ OUT and then start over with the range you want.

But, also consider not using Park DNs. Test out having calls parked on the users extension rather than the system DNs. Example, if you have a call for me, Park it on 4363. Now overhead page with "Parked Call for Gene" and I go to any phone and dial the Park Retrieve FFC + 4363
