Removing Boot malmo from XP

Hi techies,

i have got a serious problem, my computer has two partitions and a terrible boot sector virus (boot malmo). how do i get rid of it without reformating my hard drive and reinstalling the OS.

i am in kind of a fix pliz help me.

Boot into the Recovery Console (XP CD inserted into the CDROM and boot from it) then in the Command Line Interface (CLI) type FIXMBR ... this will override any data in the MBR (BOOT SECTOR)...

in case the OS does not BOOT use the command FIXBOOT aswell...
