Hi,
any help in this matter is much appreciated.
Im using Backup Exec 8.6, on Win2000 server.

I have a daily backup job that is failing because it is looking for folders that have been moved/deleted.

The thing is these folders are no longer checked as part of the backup selection, but backup exec is still looking for them!?

has anybody experienced this problem? or any ideas on a solution. Of course I could recreate the job, but there must be another way to solve this.
Thanks, James

go into the job and change it to text view

you will then be able to see the selections you need to remove from the backup.

Did you delete the job from the active jobs list? If not, then you need to do that. Then you make the changes in the job on the Job Definitions tab. When you recreate the schedule, it creates a new Active Job.

I had this problem before and Justin2000 is right. In the upper right corner there is a radio button to select between graphical and text view. Text view will list all current selections regardless of whether they exist or not. Delete them from there and you will have solved your problem.

The text view shows all selections, even if they are not listed in the graphical view.
