Hi

I am using Lotus Notes 5.0.10. What I would like to do is remove/detatch a number of attachments from a number of emails all at the same time. eg. highlited all and detatch.

Any suggestions.

Normally, one can only work with a single memo at at time. In those cases, with the letter open, use the right mouse button on an attachment, and the pop up menu will display a "Detatch All" feature which works with all attachments in that specific memo.

HOWEVER, since you want to do this with multiple emails, here is a trick. Start with your inbox. Checkmark all messages with which you will work. (keep in mind that the more messages there are the longer the process will take to compile, download, etc.) Once checkmarked and still in the inbox, click on the "Forward" button. The computer will compile all checked memos into a single opened memo to "forward". Then, instead of forwarding, simply use the right mouse button to click on one of the attachments, get that pop-up menu, and choose "Detatch All". Specify the location, and it will put them all into the location requested.

That's a great trick! I had a user ask me the same last week and didn't think it was possible. Thanks!!!
