Thanks for you suggestion, GriffMG - but I have not quite got the hang of it.

I have added an extra object, a checkbox to a column of a grid, and I have decided that I do not want it, so I want to remove it from the design of the grid.

I have tried right-clicking on the grid, then selecting edit. I then navigate to the checkbox in the properties drop-down. Returning to the grid, I try clicking on the grid and pressing Delete, but nothing happens (the check box is still there). Indeed clicking on the grid column does not seem to have any effect - the column does not get highlighted.

How do I remove this additional object which I had placed on the grid.

Thanks.

Andrew,

You are close, but not quite there.

Try this:

1. Open the form in the form designer.

2. In the Properties window, open the drop-down object list at the top of the window.

3. Select the checkbox from within the dropdown.

4. Click on the title bar of the form designer (not of the form itself). Check that you have still selected the checkbox in the drop-down list.

5. Hit the Del key.

Give that a try, and come back if you still have problems.

Mike

Finally got there! You have to have the Grid's visible property set to .T. (Found that on foxwikis).

Even though you can see the grid at design time, there is an odd feature(?) of VFP that you cannot delete an object from a column at design time if the grid is not defined to be visible when it is initialised at run time.

These features keep us alert! Thank you both.
