I have been brought into as the Dir. of IT and to manage a high-profile software project. I have a desktop support tech and a contract who does some of their network support. However, prior to both of these individuals, someone had tried to setup Group Policy.

I would like to remove all group policy restrictions and settings - bring every PC back to default settings.

Is there a way for me to do this originating at the 2003 server?

I have Administrative access.

Thanks.

No real way to reset the domain GPO's to factory defaults. I would open up Group Policy Management Console and unlink any extra curricular GPO's that where created. You DONT want to unlink the Default Domain Policy or the Default Domain Controllers Policy as this would lead to bad things. For those 2 GPO's you will have to go through them object by object and undo any unwanted settings.

You can get GPMC here:

Keep in mind that removing GPOs might have some really nasty results. Like automatically uninstalling software and printers from workstations.
