Removing Access 2003 Database Password 1

How do I remove database protection from a 2003 database? I know the password, but even after opening the database for exclusive access I cannot get to the tools menu to unset the password.

Try opening the database with the shift key pressed simultaneously...that should allow you to view the default menus. It sounds like the default menus may have been replaced by custom menus. Then Tools...Security...Remove Database Password.
