Removing a phantom .

Hello everyone.
My problem is i had a "DID" assigned to a 3903 as a phantom number.(does not show up as a key) That number was recycled to a fax machine.
Our "DID" numbers can be dialed with the last four digits internally, or for external incoming call 615-xxxx has to be dialed. On this fax machine we can dial internally from another internal fax and the fax will ring,but if we dial outside back to the fax the number is forwarded to the old number that it was assigned to. How can i stop this from happening? I am a newbie to meridian systems but I was decent with our old nec2400 system so i have some concept ,in general, of pbx switch capabilities. Thanks.

What number is being dialed from outside? Is your fax DID?
If you want to remove that phantom, go to ld 10 or 11 and
prt that DNB, then out the TNB

TNB:xxx xx xx xx <enter>

If you can dial it from internal, but it goes to a different place on external call, that points to the IDC tables in LD 49.

Go to LD 49 and print IDC. Look for that number in the left hand column of the print out. If it's there delete it. To delete you have to do a CHG on the correct table number and just prefix the number with an X.

The number that is being dialed is XXX-615-7191. This is a DID# for our location. I can test our DID's by going to another fax inside our location (we have several around the campus/site) and dialing the last 4 digits only. This works fine. If I dial "9" to get an outside line and dial the whole fax # from one of these inside fax lines (XXX-615-7191)it rings to the old Phone it used to be assigned to. The old phone # is 1635 (digital) and that now recycled fax number (7191) shouldn't be ringing at 1635.

I don't see an appearance of 7191 ? yet i have notes from the previous adminstrator that 7191 was a phantom at one time.

That's what I was saying....
Check your IDC table!
7191 is being converted to 1635 on an incoming call.
That is know as digit manipulation and is handled in LD 49.

Be careful to take out the number and not the tree
