removing a page in ms word 2000

can anyone please tell me how to remove a page from a word 2000 document...with older versions of word i could delete a page by using the Ctrl and backspace keys...but that doesn't seem to work any more?!!

First, make your formatting characters visible. Go to Tools -> Options, select the View tab, in the Formatting Marks section, check All, then OK. Find the page break you don't want, place your cursor on it and press the delete key.
