I replaced an existing 4.11 server with a new 4.11 server. I added the new server, created new users (small network) and copied the data files over. Now, of course, the new server and another server (a gateway) are reporting that they cannot communicate with the old server, which is long gone. How do I remove it from NDS correctly?

You can use the NDS manager to remove this server (It's located in the same place that the nwadmin programs are sys:public\win95. Run it and find the server in the current tree and remove it, make sure you are currently in the master replica. As long as the server is not in it's own partition, then you can remove it there. Remember, depending on settings, it may take a little time to remove the server and propigate that change through NDS
