removing a large mailbox from the store

I have a mailbox that is rather large (9 GB). I need to move it to antoher lacation (on the HD) with as little disurption to business as possible. What would be the best appoach? I would like to do it from the server. If I must create a PST then fine, but I would prefer not to.
