Removed voicemails are getting back

We have a MM 3.1 system and a subscriber who removes it's messages is getting the messages back after a few days. The subscriber has had this a few times. Does anyone know what the reason is of this?

have you checked the subscriber activity logs on this user? also look at the subscriber options and make sure the delete on exit is checked.
