I lent someone my compac laptop ..... he installed Win 2000 Pro ..... and now he has gone off back packing in europe ..... problem is I want to remove Win2k, Fdisk, reformat and install Win98Se which I understand and prefer however he appears to have taken the CD with him assuming he bought one, and we cant find a boot disk assuming he made one. If I try to use my Win98Se boot disk it tells me it is the wrong Dos Version. I have tried every thing I know (Not very much)Can anyone help me.

You have to face due east and scratch your left ear while saying reformat windows three times really loud and fast.
Then post $500.00 cash to 21 Capstone Way, MARANGAROO

Boot the system, when it asks you to press F8 for advanced startup options do so. Boot to a command prompt, type fdisk, and blow away the NTFS partition. Create a new FAT32 partition and reboot and format it. Now you should be able to install your dreaded W98 OS |
