In the connect to server desktops, I have no desktops listed except the server itself. I went under server management and client computers and added the 4 computers we have. It then said to go to internet explorer on each computer and browse to the server internal ip like this: Well, that works to the point of installing an activex component, but nothing further. These workstations already have Norton Internet installed and IE 7 and one of those appears to messing up the action - the page reports Permission Denied and the page says "Run the wizard to complete Networking Setup" but there is no wizard to run. I tried turning Norton off but still nothing else. Is there some other way to complete the steps to get computers "registered" with the server to make them show up? Can I complete it without using IE on the clients? Or any other ideas to check to get around whatever is causing the problem? THANK YOU - to anyone who can help get around this!

SORRY - the title was supposed to be REMOTE Web Workspace - not remove - duh!

Use the local server's name in the URL, not the IP address, and see if that changes things. I know that if you use the FQDN internally you get the same exact behavior. It should be
Also, once you get the systems added to the domain, you may want to check each one and make sure they are enabled for remote desktop (right-click My Computer and choose Properties, go to the Remote tab). Group Policy is supposed to automatically enable RD, but it doesn't hurt to check anyway.

I'll bet that Norton software is causing a problem.

That is what I believe as well. I DID try going to another one of the 4 computers and that one did better. It got a different error which is "The list of users and computers could not be found on the server. blah..." - in looking that up via google it appears that the computers MUST be set up to obtain their DHCP and DNS all through the server itself, not through the router (at least that's what some web page I found via google is saying). So when I get back to this issue I'll give that a try unless someone here has some different advice. As to this one station that cannot even get this far - I do believe its either Norton, or INTRANET settings or both.
