Remove Voicemail Card?

I have an Partner ACS with a voicemail card. Our phone service provider is Ooma, which is a VOIP service and we have a converter to get the VOIP into our phone system. The provider has voice mail that we'd prefer to use. Can I simply remove the voicemail card on the ACS to allow the VOIP voicemail take over?
