Remove Unused Module?

The partner has 2 or 3 308 modules with no sets or trunks connected, can they be unhooked after power down without any system config issues or will I need to reprogram?

I'll have to get back to you. Basically I'm trying to maximize operational time on a 2000va ups. The specs show an additional 45 watts per expansion module so if their not being used then I'd like to pull them.

You can remove the three modules with no isues. You don't even need the carrier at that point.

Well slot 1 has extensions connected? So I can remove the other two and I need the carrier

OK, the slot order is not left to right. Slot 1 is the center slot and that is your CPU. The slots are numbered 2 3 1 4 5. So slot 1 has extensions 10 thru 17, slot 2 has extensions 18 through 25 and slot 3 26 thru 33. If you have phones plugged in to slot 2 and want to preserve their extensions the best you can do is remove the 308 in slot 3. If you consolidate your extensions to the processor module you will need to reprogram the extensions if their programming is not the same.

Ok so basically I have unused 308s in slots 3 and 4 which have never been used and nothing in 5 so I can pull 3 and 4 and have no problems?

Yes, you can remove 3 and 4 and you will not have any issues with programming.
