Remove tags and place in trunk

I have a situation where I have some code marked with a tag. I'd like to remove the tag such that the code that was marked with it would be built as a matter of course if a person were to do a build against the trunk. Is there a means to do this easily without the possibility of losing the changes that were marked with the tag?

Thanks for your time.

you can do a merge from the tagged (or probably branched) version back to the trunk to keep your changes for people working on the trunk. Do a quick web search on the merge keyword and you should find all the instructions you need.
