Remove Reference with VBA

I have an Excel add-in that from Workbook_Open sets a reference to Solver and Workbook_Close removes the reference.

The weird thing is that the code shown below can't set the reference without preventing the small password form to pop up (the one that appears when trying to access a protected vba module in vbe).

Any idea how can I prevent that form from appearing?

AddIn_Name.References.AddFromFile ThisWorkbook.Path & Application.PathSeparator & "Solver.xla"
