I scanned an old Polaroid print at 300 dpi color and produced a bitmap that PShop shows to be @25% (RGB).

The scanned image has a "yellow/green tint" that I would like to get rid of.

After quite a few tries with curves and saturation adjustments I've managed some success but would like to hear some suggestions from the experts.

Also in the title mypic.bmp @25% (RGB)
what's the different percentages of (RGB) mean?

The @25% is the zoom percentage you are viewing the image at, zoom in and the number will increase, zoom out and it will decrease.

Normally when I need to get rid of a tint or shadow cast I adjust the Saturation through Image - Adjustments - Hue/Saturation. Don't use the master chanel, select individual offending channels for the best result.

I often find that scanners and digital cameras give people a red tint and dropping the saturation down slightly on the red chanel does a great job of correcting the problem.

Hope this helps

Thanks Kliot

I just recently went from PS 5.5 to 7.0 and had not seen the zoom percentage before, nice touch.

I will also direct my saturation adjustments to individual channels.

Thanks again
