Remove previous Exchange Server name

i have recently practiced installing Exchange 2K. unfortunately, the name i gave my test server is the official name i want to use for the organization. problem is when i try to reinstall exchange 2K finally, the old computer name is still active in the AD and exchange setup won't let me re-use it. how can i remove the old exchange server name from AD completely?
