Hello everyone,

I created a document in Microsoft Word and password protected it. My problem is that I cannot remember the password, is there a way to remove the password protection from my document so I can view it?

Please help me.....

I think that there is software to do this - but it's not easy. Sorry!

There are some solutions out there - try Googling it. However, as a matter of policy this site does not encourage discussion of cracking passwords. How do we know this document is yours? We don't.

BTW: this is why when you DO password protect a document Microsoft clearly, VERY clearly, states:
CAUTION: if you lose or forget the password it cannot be recovered. It is advisable to keep a list of passwords and their corresponding document names in a safe place.
In other words...the responsibility is yours.

Do you really want to pass your credit card details to an unknown retailer who writes password crackers as a living?

tf1 - huh? Don't get it. If this person wrote password crackers, uh, why would they be asking here? Or are they the...no...I don't get it.

What I mean is would you feel confident giving your credit card details to an unknown person selling you something as dubious as a password cracker? :)<
