help! i have 4 subreports in the main report. i have to suppress the subreport or (the header of the subreport) if there is no data display. i tried fixing the subreport by checking if (example.) the field1 is equal to null then suppress. this is done and running already. my problem is how can i remove the blank page? its not right to include a blank page in a report. i want to remove the blank page if the subreport has no data displayed.

btw i placed the subreports at the detail a,b,c,d sections. pls help! tnx

check the can grow option of the subreport and make the size of the subreport as small as possible. keep the width and top same but change the height to min using the object size and position on right cliking the subreport in main report design. If the subreport is not suppressed it would automatically grow to the original size else the gap left would be minimal

Hope this helps

Cheers
Ravi

Edit the subreport, go to file - Report Options and check the box Suppress Printing if no records.

This should kill it completely if no data is found.
