Hi All,
I am trying to develop a new public internet policy and I am having a tough time trying to get rid of any use of Outlook Express with IE. I was able to go into the policy editor and restrict the file MSIMN.EXE from running, that stops someone from going to Tools/Mail and News/Read Mail but if someone where to click on New Message..., Send a Link..., or Send Page... it loads the Internet Connection Wizard where is would want to set up a new mail account. Any help would be appreciated.

probably the easyest way would be to just set the security properties on the Outlook exe to only allow Administrtors access. Then no matter what the do it wont allow them access to run the program.

If you use the IE IEAK toolkit, it includes the security provision to remove all references to OE if you so choose.
Includes Outlook® Express, including Outlook Express 6.0, in your package and configure the installation so that no links to the Outlook Express program appear on your users' desktop, Start menu, or Quick Launch bar. Similarly, you can remove links to channels or the Internet Connection Wizard from your users' Quick Launch bar.

Given your plans, using the IEAK would be of signifiant benefit for several reasons.
