We have an old server group that I cannot unlock due to it was on a subnet that no longer exists. I cannot figure out how to unlock the group since it is trying to contact a server that is no longer there.

Also, there are clients that are in this server group, how would I be able to remove them so I can point them to a valid AV server.

TIA

Thanks,

Matt Wray

The server group should eventually go away by itself if there are no servers in it.

To get the clients to a new server, drop the Grc.dat file from the server you want them to point to onto the clients. This should help:

If the server group is still around, there may be some computer somewhere still pointing to it. Check to make sure that all your clients are pointing to the right server. Also, check to make sure you don't have any other servers lying around unnoticed.

You might also try running the discovery service (tools, discovery service, clear cache now) in the SSC.
