I have an NT 4.0 member server with SQL 7.0 on an NT domain and I have a new Win 2000 server with SQL 2000 on the same domain. I want to remove the old NT server from the domain and rename the new Win 2000 server with the old NT servers name. I also want to use the old IP addr. We are also moving the SQL databases to the new server (Appl. vendor assisting in the SQL DB move). I understand I will need to re-run SQL 2000 setup after the Win 2000 server name change so SQL will pickup the new name. It this correct? Basically what do I need to do to accomplish this and any gotcha's I should be aware of. Thanks in advance for your help!!!!!!
