G'day, I need to remove one or more Compaq ML360 servers from a Compaq cabinet. I did not set up this environment and all work I have done on these units have been in the rack. For the life of me I can't figure out how to fully remove the server from the sliding rails (can go to fully extend) and from the cabinet.

TIA...

John

When the server is fully extended, there should be clips on the rails that hold the server in the fully out position and the server cannot return unless these clips are pushed in. These clips on either side are pushed in to allow the server to return back into the rack. Now if you push these clips all the way in and pull the server out of the rack, the rails connected to the server should come out of the rails attached to the rack.

Note that this is a 2+ person job.
