I am using the Opendatasource method to set a new datasource for a mail merge document. When I do this, it seems like the mail merge is first trying to open the original datasource for the mailmerge, then applies the new datasource. The reason I suspect this is because the original datasource is in a different database than the one that I am working in. I receive an error if the network path to the database that contains the current datasource query is not available.
Question :
Is there any way to either delete the datasource (through code) from a word document or open the datasource without Word trying to verify its existence?
