Remove knowledge of VIPs

Hi to all,
We have a small problem I hope someone can help with...

After a failed 2 node ASM install we have decided to start from scratch. However when trying to install clusterware we get the following message:

The virtual hostname(s), {node1}-vip,{node2}-vip, you have specified appears to be already assigned to another system on the network. Please ensure that the virtual hostname(s) that you use for each of the nodes in the cluster are not in use currently.
This silent installation was unsuccessful.

Does anyone know how to remove all knowledge of these VIPs so we can start again?
