Hi,

I want to remove a group which has previously had access to a folder, it subfolders and the files contained within.

This group no longer needs access to this area. I have revoked the groups permissions from all of these folders and subfolders so the group permissions on all objects within cannot be accessed anymore.

The questions is:

Can you show me how to remove this group from all the folders and files within, without going through all of the folders and files individually and removing this group?

I want to tide this up.

Help greatly appreciated,

Matt

ggriffit,

I did originally do that to revoke the permissions from the group to this said area, then I deleted the group from the top level folder. This is when I got in a spot of bother as I needed to add the group back in at the top level again before I could do the following:

I used the 'Edit Permission of Sub-Items' on the permissions of the top level folder. (padlock icon with green icon pointing down).

Permissions Action,

Change from <NONE> to 'Remove Group' (which would apply to Sub-Items too).

This removes the group from the top level downwards so it was no longer linked to any of the folders or files below.
