remove extension on phone number for statement

Hi. We are a small company. We have phone extensions, but we just use our phone number (sans extensions) on statements, etc. Right now our statement and invoices print with the company phone number followed by "Ext. 0000". Does anybody know how to remove the extension from the phone number?

The most obvious solution would be to remove the telephone number field from the reports in question and replace it with a static text field containing just what you want to appear. Of course, if the numbers change often, this approach does entail a bit more administration to keep the reports current.

You can also use the RW_Left() User Defined Report Writer function to take the left hand X characters of the phone number.

Or you can create a new format without the Ext XXXX to display a number without the extension.
