Hi:
I'm trying to figure out a way to remove duplicate records (rows) from a large Excel spreadsheet. If there isn't an easy way to do this in Excel, maybe there is a way in Access.

Example data:
1236 - Tom Jones
1696 - Jim Smith
1788 - Aimee Hunts
1236 - Toms Jones (duplicate)
1966 - Billy Bob
2039 - Jessica Sams
1788 - Aimee Hunts (duplicate)

Thanks!

How about Data > Filter > Advanced Filter > Unique records only

Glad to help.

BTW, it occurred to me after posting that I ought to mention how you can get down to non-duplicates only, rather than just having duplicates hidden.

After doing the advanced filter, select all cells ([Ctrl]+[A]), then go to Edit > Go to > Special > Visible cells only

Now copy and paste into a new worksheet.
