We have a series of reports which are automatically generated by the application - and which we can't modify. Unfortunately the report file that comes out (which is then ftp-ed to the final destination) is double-spaced and is causing all sorts of problems with the end user's system.
I use a simple ksh script to do the actual ftp transfer and do a rename, archive, etc. of the file before sending it along ... but am not sure how I can go in and strip out the double spacing before dropping it on the remote server.
Any thoughts/comments appreciated.
Tnx.
