Remove domain

I have a main domain with a sub domain. I want to remove the subdomain and all users in it. For the two servers that host the active directory for the subdomain, would it be correct that all I have to do is run DCPROMO on both to accomplish my goal?

Yes, DCPROMO will kill that domain. I would move the users accounts and computer accounts first unless you intend on recreating them or unless they are not needed.

I have a script to join the computer accounts to the main domain if you are interested let me know.
