I added a .mdb database to my project and created several datasets using the tables and queries in the .mdb.. just temporarily.

I now need to remove it from my project.

I seem to be able to remove the reference to the .mdb BUT

am now stuck with several dataset references in Projext Explorer.

If i try to delete them in Project Explorer... the whole project folds up., and i have to go back to a backup.

Appreciate any ideas

Typed datasets? I don't recommend them ever.. I always use the wizards if there is one. In the case of dataset wizard it is opposite.
Better you remake the entire app(code). It is very easy once you understand the basic of untyped datasets.

see the links..

mrAbdulla..

Yes i seem to agree... looks like i will have to live with the datasets in my Project Explorer... a bit irritating but the program still works perfectly ok..

I am really a vb6 person, and have only moved to vb2008 recently..
I am finding vb2008 excelent in most areas but very unforgiving !!!

Thanks for your advice
