Remove Data in AD, unsuccessful DC Demotion

Hi,
We have 6 DC's, the Master plus 4 others are on Windows Server 2003 Std Edition,no SP's. One of the DC's has SP1, can the enhanced version of NTDSUtil.exe (Metadata Cleanup) be executed to remove a DC from AD with the others not having SP1?
Will it cause complications to the AD or will it fail because not all the DC's are SP1.
