I was asked to remove our auto attend message, and have a live person answer when calling our main number.
I connect using Merlin Message Administrator, and search for the message we are using, but the software is indicating that there is no message recorded.

All I want to do is either remove auto attend completly, or turn this message off from the operator.

Any help would be appreciated.

You won't do it through the Messaging itself, but within the Legend system.

Calls can be directed to the Auto Attendant in several ways.

The lines/pool could simply be assigned to the Voice Mail Calling Group.

The lines/pools could be assigned to a pool the overflows to the Voice Mail calling group, with a mailbox in the Messaging that steers the call to the Auto Attendant.

The lines/pools may belong to a specific extension, and that extension's mailbox steers the calls to the Auto Attendant.

The calls may arrive via DNIS digits on a PRI, and be sent to the Voice Mail Calling Group, or to a specific extensions that covers to voice mail, with that mailbox steering the calls to the Auto Attendant.

So, you're going to have to provide some more information on how your system is set up, or do some looking in the system and printing reports.

How do you dial in to voicemail? Do you dial 770 to get voicemail to answer? If so, press menu, system program, extentions, more, group calling, line/pool - keyin 770 and press enter - then press Inspect. If calling group 770 has any lines and/or pool(s) assigned - they will show up. If ypou see line 801, 802, etc. or see Pool 70, 890, etc. - press back, press line/pool - keyin 770 - and now remove each line and/or pool - by keying the line number and or pool number and then pressing delete. Press Inspect again to make sure all lines/pools are removed. This will diable the autoattendant from answering any calls.
