Is there a way in MS Outlook to remove attachments from a mail when you move it by rule or manually to a specific folder. Most of my outgoing emails I move to different folders to be kept for reference. Many of them have attachements which I don't want to save as I normaly have the files somewhere else.

WHEN do you want the attachments removed (i.e., triggered by what event?) Removing attachments per se isn't too difficult - you could create a macro to do it in batch mode fairly easily.

When a mail is moved from the Inbox or Sent Items to some other place.

I dug around a little bit, but wasn't able to find a solution. The folder_ItemRemove event will fire when an item is moved (or deleted) from a specified folder, but unfortunately there is no way of finding out whether it was moved or deleted, and where it wound up. Maybe some Outlook guru will chime in...
