hello,
how do i completely remove apache 1.3 from my Mac.

i have Apache/2.0.53 running, but i want to make this as the default apache and clear the old version.

thanks

I'm sure there is a tutorial somewhere out there on the net but I would guess that with each OSX system update, your changes might get altered back to the way things were.

I run both Apache servers using different ports (Apache 1.x on standard port 80 and Apache 2.x on port 69. Then I set my router to reassign/swap the ports so that other machines see my 2.x Apache on the standard port of 80.

Thanks for your reply, picklefish.

Is there a way to stop starting the httpd deamon for the 1.3 version?

On my computer I simply turn off the internet 'sharing' in the preference panel. Apache 2 uses a separate 'apache 2' preference panel on my system. Results may vary.
