remove antivirus

i downloaded safetynet's vnet antivirus. i uninstalled it thru control panel but it's icon still shows on my task bar.
where is it loading and how do i get rid of it?

Well, I'm not sure where it's loading from, but before you go messing around in the registry to remove all traces, try booting in safe mode and uninstalling it there also. Sometimes things just don't uninstall all the way and you can still find traces of them in safe mode for some reason. Michelle Fulton
