Remove Active Directory

How do I remove Active Directory from a server that has already been setup.
Active Directory migration was never completed. We are still using our NT 4 domain.

We want this server that has active directory installed to be our file server. We need to move files over now, since our current file server is dying very quickly.

How do I remove Active Directory?

Shoot - if your NT box dies, you won't be able to log in at all!

I'd upgrade to Active Directory while you're at it!
