Remove a PVID

I had a hard drive removed prior to be deleted from AIX. I am now unable to get rid of the PVID, as it doesn't show as a device, but does show when listing the physical volumes from smit.

Does anyone know how to remove a PVID with no hdisk# attached to it?

Try smit devices

select hard disk

Select remove a hard disk

Use F4 to display disks

Usually on of the disks shows as 002469........

Select this disk and delete

Thank you for your help. I was actually able to remove it by using the "reducevg" command.
