Is there a way I can remove a link from my access table and keep the table and data? I have a table linked to an excel spreadsheet, when I remove the link the table is removed. I have to make a new table, copy and paste the data from the linked table and then remove the link in order to keep the table. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

This process can be done by a macro, which includes three commands.

1. run the "make table" query(select ... into ...), copying data from the linked table into a new table.
2. delete the linked table.
3. rename the new table as the linked table.
