I have a W2k3 SP1 DC that has failed and is no longer available on the network. It was a node in a two node AD replication setup. The first node is still online and all is working fine. However, I would like to remove the failed DC from AD. How do I do this? Or what is the best way to go about doing this?

As a starting point you would remove all links to the failed server in Sites and Services. You might be lucky and be able to delete it from AD Domain Controllers then. I would be very very careful doing this though, delete the wrong this and you will be in a mess!!!

Thanks Davetoo. The link is very helpful. I'll proceed with following it and see what happens.
