I have a merlin 3.0 legend that i am working on.
I need to remove a copy from two lines. It rings
at the operators desk, this is what i want, but
then i also rings at two other extensions. So how
do i remove that from the system and just have those
two phones ring when extension is dialed, transfered ect.
???

How is it ringing on these other phones. Is it on a button? Or are these "other" phones consoles. To many open questions here. What type of phone....MLX or ATL(merlin). The best thing I can say is first, place the phone in program mode. MLX(Feature 00) or ATL(intercom #00). Then press the button that rings, dial *21. If it is a cover button, this will erase the button. If it is a pool button or line, then you need to go into sys-program, extensions, linestrunks, ext #, and then the easiest way to go is entry mode, push the inspect button and find out what lines are assigned to the phone. Then, press exit, then dial the line number and press delete. This will remove the lines from the phone. good luck.

Here are the specs, both phones are MLX10,
I am doing this from an MLX-20L. What happens is when
someone trys to call office it rings at the operators desk
and two other extensions. I am tring to remove ringing from
two extensions that are not operator...sorry I am programer
that got phone system responsibilitues now, so I am a newbie
to phones systems but am starting to pick up on terms.
Anyhelp appreciated - Thanks

I just tryed what you said .
Extensions list is as follows:
801,802,803,804,805
806,807,808,809,810
811,812,814,815

But these seem to be on every other
extension to?

Is there any other way that might cause
these two other phones to ring when
operators phone rings?

Thanks

Sounds like you just need to change the ringing on the specific phones. Go to centralized programming, enter the extension you want to program, select the button that the line is on, select list feature, find feature, PQRS, ring options, one line, enter, no ring, enter then system program. Then do the same thing to the other extension.
